August 2, 2016 Board Meeting Agenda Item #17 Title APPROVAL OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGER'S CONTRACT FOR VERTICAL CONSTRUCTION OF THE BUILDING FOR THE SUNCOAST TECHNICAL COLLEGE SOUTH CAMPUS PROJECT Description Under the terms of the 11/3/2015 (Item #40), Board approved "Agreement between Owner and Construction Manager for Pre-Construction & Bidding Services", the Director of Construction Services and a member of the Professional Services Selection Committee (PSSC) have successfully negotiated a contract with Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc., for a portion of the Suncoast Technical College South Campus. The 11/3/2015 agreement included pre-construction and bidding services only. The scope of this contract shall include all Vertical Construction. The Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of this contract is $16,935,056.00. This contract is available for review at the Construction Services Department. The School Board attorney has approved the use of this contract. Funds for this contract are available in the project budget account. Recommendation That the Construction Manager's Contract for Vertical Construction for the Suncoast Technical College South Campus project be approved as presented.
